POW/MIA Recognition Day

September 15, 2023 is POW/MIA Recognition Day. In many American Legion, VFW, and Veteran affiliated clubs and restaurants you might find a small table, a white tablecloth, a single chair, a single plate setting, a lemon, a salt shaker, a rose, a candle, a flag, an overturned glass, a holy book. Each item has its own meaning. Collectively these items are a reminder. A reminder of those who have not yet come home.
